If you don’t book with North Photography you are missing out! I recently had a destination wedding in New Orleans and chose North Photography from Theknot.com. As a little girl, I dreamed about having magnificent wedding pictures, so of course my main priority and money was to be spent for wedding photography. I don’t even know where to begin to start with the North family, other than they are the TOTAL package and you get way more then you pay for! An expert in the photography field along with being a perfectionist! I was allotted an engagement session. I chose Nottoway Plantation. Our Photographer drove almost two hours to get there and shot photos for three hours non-stop. For the wedding, they took over 1,000 photos within the time. I received the photos and I’ve never seen work this stunning! North Photo is truly the best photographers I’ve ever seen. Their expertise with lighting is so far advanced from other photographers. Our photographer knows when and where to shoot. I could go on and on! I would recommend getting the Platinum or Diamond package it is worth the money. Along with having the best pictures, you will create a special bond with North Photography. I cannot say thank you enough to North Photo. They truly made my wedding beyond what I had ever dreamed about. Thank you so much North Photography! — Misty & Michael
Amazing work!
We hired North Photography as our wedding photographer after seeing some of their work online. We contacted the owner & he quickly responded answering any questions that we had. We had to plan our wedding from out of town, and anytime that I had a question about something he was quick to respond! We also had our engagement session with North Productions as part of our wedding package, these pictures came out amazing! We had never had professional pictures taken & we were blown away at the quality of these photographs. We even displayed a few of the images at the wedding!! For our wedding, he and his wife showed up to the designated location for me getting ready very promptly (even with Mardi Gras traffic!) & they got right to work! His wife even helped my mom with lacing up the back of my dress! The photos that were taken at the wedding we got back very quickly & we were amazed at the images that were taken! Overall I would recommend North Productions to anyone in the NOLA area getting married who is looking for a good quality photographer. — Maegan M

We are so glad we found North Photography and their team to handle our wedding photography. The photos are absolutely gorgeous - Our photographer captured every type of photo we requested (both staged and candid) and delivered some truly exceptional moments from our special day. He is a true professional. He arrived early to the hotel, gave excellent direction to us and the wedding party to ensure we got the best possible shots, and was able to adjust our photography schedule (to capture all the photos we wanted) when it took a little longer than expected to get ready. He was polite, friendly, and very clearly worked the whole night to ensure the delivery of a quality set of photos. North Photography is very reasonably priced. We chose to purchase the Premium package, which included an engagement shoot and a variety of photo books to commemorate the day. The owner was very quick to respond to phone calls and did a good job of reviewing our photography schedule and offering suggestions to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. Planning your wedding can be extremely expensive and stressful; however, North Photography came to my rescue. The owner was very instrumental throughout the whole planning process and came ready with his TEAM the day of the wedding. Yes... he has a team! From the time I got out of the car to the last song played at the reception, she was there facilitating the entire process! She was able to capture the attention of the babies while he was just snapping, AMAZING pictures, away! She even walked us through the cake cutting process with the toasters when it was time. During the planning process, our photographer shared best practices for the day of in order for us to optimize our time and the flow of the wedding. We also told him my husband is a firefighter and that we were incorporating his firetruck to lead the procession. He worked with us during all of our requests and needs/wants. The icing on the cake is when I got a link to our pictures EXACTLY 2 weeks after the wedding. That was enough time for us to honeymoon, get back to the everyday flow of life, then enjoy AMAZING pictures with our friends and family. I have ALWAYS been a picture/video person. Excellent photographer!
I couldn't believe how gorgeous my bridal portraits are! He did a wonderful job with the lighting, composition, and directing me what to do. He was also careful to ask whether there were any particular photos I wanted him to take. I also booked him and his team for photography and videography for my wedding, which is in three weeks. My Wedding was May 26th and I've already received my images. And let me tell you, they are amazing! North Photography completely exceeded my expectations. They knew how important it was for us to take the pictures we wanted, without spending too much time on it! We took a bridesmaids picture on the bed, which broke mid picture and the team did not miss a beat! Within minutes we were on to the next shot as if nothing had happened! Wonderful photographer!
He is so laid back and easy to work with. My husband and I were not looking forward to posing for tons of pictures as we hate taking them, but our photographer and his assistant were so quick! They instructed us on everything and pulled pictures together so fast.They turned out GORGEOUS. So many special moments we had missed from our wedding were captured beautifully for us. I cannot recommend North Photography enough! The stress of having a wedding in one state while living in another was so much easier thanks to our photo expert and his team. Great Experience with North Photography
Being an out-of-state bride, I had to take my chances choosing a photographer for our NOLA wedding... after hours and hours of researching on here I finally chose North Photo to do my portraits and my wedding! I cannot express how happy I am that I picked North Photography!! My portrait session pictures were GREAT. The owner called me about 1.5 weeks before the wedding to go over ever detail and to make sure I had everything I wanted (I chose the longer hour options so I could get lots of pictures before the wedding). The day of the wedding, the photographers showed up ready to go!! They were very professional and helped get my wedding party in line --- we had 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen so quite a big wedding party. I was very surprised that for a night wedding, the pictures were so clear and bright - its amazing what they can do to enhance photos; I LOVE them! So to all you soon to be brides out there.... This vendor deserves way more than 5 stars! Not only are they reasonable in price but, the owner was extremely helpful & responsive throughout the entire process. We took engagement photos as part of our package and he spent 2 hours with us! Those photos came out amazing. For our wedding he knew exactly what to do and helped the day run so smooth & stress free. You can tell they have been doing this for a while and know all of the best photos to take. His style is beautiful and you will absolutely not be disappointed if you choose North Photography! — Jessica A
Absolutely the best experience we could have had!
I used them for my bridal portraits and engagement pictures. My husband and I actually had fun during both sessions. When it came time for the wedding they made that a breeze as well. We were comfortable, got all the shots we wanted and when it came time for the reception everything went smooth. AMAZING photographer!!!
I was extremely nervous about choosing a photographer for our engagement and wedding photos- you only get ONE chance to pick the right one. Those moments can never be repeated. I could not have chosen better. The owner is an AMAZING photographer!!! I do not consider myself photogenic at all, yet somehow we are left with the most BEAUTIFUL photo memories, and all of the credit goes to him! He put us super at-ease, and we felt comfortable in front of his lens, despite our initial trepidation. The way he captures the glow of the setting sun, or the sparkle in your eyes as you triumphantly march down the aisle in wedded bliss, the pictures he captured are so beautiful I cannot stop looking at them. The depth and colors and lush textures he captured are magnificent. I have looked at hundreds of other photographers, from Austin to New Orleans, and I do not have a single regret about North Photography. I would recommend them without hesitation. My only sadness is that I opted to go without videography. After seeing some of the beautiful videos he has created, I will never get that opportunity again, and I know in my heart he would have created a keepsake that we would cherish for the rest of our lives. No hype here. He is humble, down-to-Earth, and passionate about photography. He isn't a hobby photographer, like so many people who pick up a camera and suddenly think they are Herb Ritts or Ansel Adams. He is the genuine article- he LOVES what he does and it TOTALLY SHOWS. We just received our wedding photos and they are amazing...
Recently completed the engagement photo session with North Productions and I must say that I was very pleased. Our photographer and his assistant were very professional and patient with us as well as the hordes of people in New Orleans on this particular day. We completed a small circle within The Quarter to get photos at some of the key spots and even had a wonderful sunset photo along the river. He was also great about working with my canine companion. He clearly showed a lot of experience by knowing how to pose us to get great pictures, but was also willing to listen to our ideas. Honestly, I'm having trouble finding a favorite picture because they are all terrific. Finally, we just received our wedding photos and they are amazing. We have got so many compliments already. We are very pleased with our photographer/videographer selection, and thanks to the knot reviews. — Pamela S
